The Hire Charge includes use of the Hall, entrance reception area, caretaking, security, chairs, tables, climate controlled air conditioning, kitchens (which have a maximum 5 star rating from the Food Standards Agency), lighting,  Full audio visual facilities (including 2 60” LCD screens,  an overhead projector and drop down screen.

Your caterer, event planner is welcome to begin their work anytime from 1.00pm for an evening function or from 7.00am for a lunchtime function.  In all cases clearing up must be completed within one hour of the event ending.  Earlier access is available by agreement and may incur a small charge.

Unfortunately no but there is plenty of on street parking.

There is wheelchair access to the Hall and private toilet facilities in both the Gents and Ladies cloakrooms.  Arrangements can be made to drop off/collect disabled visitors at the Synagogue entrance but this must be arranged in advance.  We regret cars/vans cannot remain on site.

You may use any caterer who is approved by the London Beth Din. In practice this covers all Beth Din caterers and most Sephardi and Kedassia caterers. A complete up to date list is available on the United Synagogue Website.

Yes, we do not have any preferred contractors however, we will want to be satisfied that any company working in the building complies with all relevant Health & Safety requirements, and will ask them to complete risk assessments, provide copies of their insurance cover and an agreement to confirm they understand our guidelines for any modifications they may wish to make to the Hall for your function.

We have a licence that requires any function to end and guests to have left by 11.30pm.  Caterers may remain on site until 12 midnight to complete their clearing up.

Please speak with our Facilities manager who will be able to assist you with this.

Our modern recently refurbished Hall offers several lighting options including LED lighting with different colour options, uplighters and ambient lighting. Please feel free to speak to our facilities manager to discuss the wide range of options available.   If you wish to enhance the facilities further by bringing in additional lighting, then this is perfectly acceptable.
