Challah Make

Join us together with the Challah Mummy on Monday 25 February 2019 at 7.00pm for the HGSS community Challah Make!

Come with your family and friends to mix, knead, roll, shape and plait your dough then take home your creations to bake at home.

Children must be accompanied by an adult.

Friday Dinner

Friday 1 March 

5.10pm  Candle lighting with Rabbanit Batya to welcome in this special Shabbat.

5.25pm  Come and enjoy a beautiful Friday night service with Kerem, Ah’men (A cappella group) and our whole community.

6.30pm  We will be hosting a Friday night dinner to remember.  Please book your place now to avoid disappointment.  The community is invited to a celebratory dinner with good food, drink, entertainment and a wonderful atmosphere.

There will be different areas for the youth, young families (with kids up to year 6) and the rest of the community spread out across the Shul premises.  Please remember to specify all the names and ages of your party when booking and you can write the name of one other family that you would like to be seated with (although this is not compulsory).  Please also specify any dietary requirements.

Please don’t let the cost of this dinner stop you from coming.  We want as many people in the community as possible to attend.  If you feel that you may need some financial assistance, please contact Gayle in the shul office.

Shabbat Day

After we have all been together for a momentous Friday night, we want the community to spend Shabbat day together.  The running order will be like a regular Shabbat with some special Shabbat UK tweaks.

Shabbat morning – Regular services and special Shabbat UK children services following by Kiddush

4.00pm to the end of Shabbat (6.25pm)  there will be a special BAT programme for Shabbat UK.

5.25pm A special Shabbat UK Seuda Shlishit with guest speaker Rabbi Aubrey Hersh.

6.29pm Join us in Shul for a meaningful, musical Havdalah service which will wrap up an amazing Shabbat.

Sunday Concert

Sunday 3 March 2019

The Aleph Centre together with HGSS have organised a Shabbat UK concert for all 5 – 11 year olds taking place in the Max Weinbaum Hall from 11.45 – 12.45pm.  All welcome
